The delivery invoice states this car to have been delivered new to Birmingham with extra rust-proofing, added rear light and leopard-skin seat covers which protected the seats for 40 years. They are now folded in the boot alongside tools in their original box. Discovered by a dealer we knew well who acquired it from the original family, a sale was agreed to a longstanding collector client 8 years ago and the car returns to the market. Not only is the mileage abnormally low- just 18,000 but the way in which this Wolseley has been preserved is breathtaking- especially aspects such as woodwork and leather, trim. The Whitehall Beige (Cream) upper paintwork over Maroon is the original scheme and presents almost as new.
A delight to drive, this 1500 feels as-was in the day, and is a completely authentic time-travel experience offering an aroma and feel of 50’s and 60’s luxury more associated with Bentley, Bristol and the like, but with miniaturized dimensions and affordable running costs.
