Easily distinguished by their colour coded bumpers, the final phase XJS convertible is the rarest and most sought after variant especially with the fabulously smooth and powerful six litre V12 engine under the bonnet. Of the very few which come to the market, this must surely be the supreme example. Supplied new to a retired businessman in County Durham as a gift for his wife, the car did little more than glide along to their coastal holiday home in summer months and perform a weekly outing to the hairdresser so the wheels were kept turning. It was reluctantly disposed of by the lady in2016 only due to her retirement from driving, and we purchased the XJS directly from her. The mileage was then just 15,000 from new. We sold the car on to a collector who has enjoyed occasional outings in the car adding 1,000 miles bringing the total to just 16,000 from new. Finished in Artic White with Black Hide and matching electric hood and grey carpets, it is a very striking colour combination. The vehicle is gleaming in all departments and its condition is truly immaculate. A beautiful and distinctive modern classic to tour with and enjoy, or the best of the best to save in a collection.
